How the CV Creator works

When you use the CV Creator, your details are stored as temporary files known as "cookies". These cookies only exist when you are on the site and are deleted as soon as you leave.

If you choose to "save" your CV so you can come back and amend details in future, your data is stored on our database. You will be asked for a valid email address and password to store your details against. You need to keep your password safe and should not tell anyone what your password is. We will never need to ask you for your password.

If you have saved your details to the database, you can delete these at any time using the "Delete" option. This will permanently delete all your details from the database. It is non-reversible.

The only information that is not deleted from our database is information that is used to monitor the CV Creator - see below.

We keep a log of specific actions, such as saving, loading, printing or downloading your CV. It helps us to ensure the CV Creator is functioning correctly; it tells us how much the CV Creator is being used; and helps us improve the software. When you delete your details from the CV Creator, this information is not deleted. However, the information stored does not contain any personal information.

In addition to storing basic usage information, we also track the site usage using analytics software. This records the number of visits that are made to the website; the times that the site is being used; and how long users stay on the site. The information stored does not contain any personal information and is used solely to monitor site usage; to improve functionality; and to ensure the software is working as it should.
